My Inner Child Come Out to Play

Spring, she calls my name.
The pitter patter or rain lures me out of hiding;
petals dance among the droplets.
Grey clouds hover low.

The pitter patter of rain lures me out of hiding'
thawed grass clings to my naked feet.
Grey clouds hover low,
while others hide from her falling blessings.

Thawed grass clings to my naked feet
as I dance in time with the swaying trees.
While others hide from her falling blessings,
I embrace her gifts with open arms.

As I dance in time with the swaying trees,
petals dance among the droplets.
I embrace her gifts with open arms.
Spring, she calls my name.
